Game Winning Snacks Everyone Will Love

We’re officially counting down the days to Super Bowl Sunday, arguably the most important day for food in the United States. Many of you have probably already begun your party prep for the big game, but with any good Super Bowl party comes the difficult responsibility of deciding what to serve your guests. Our big tip: keep your options simple, easy, and delicious, whether it’s on or off the grill.

Here are our Top 5 picks that are sure to please fans of either team come Sunday afternoon:

  • Chicken Wings — a staple for any football game. Toss them in your favorite seasoning or marinades, and throw them on the grill at medium heat for about 15-20 minutes. We served ours with one of our favorite sauces, Killer Hogs BBQ Sauce. But if you want to give your guests some options, smoke your chicken wings and have an assortment of Kosmos Wing Dust on hand for a variety that will please all of your guests. Don’t forget the ranch!

  • Pulled Pork Sliders — Quick, delicious, and easy to eat! That’s the name of the game on Super Bowl Sunday. Preparing foods that can be eaten out of one hand is ideal, freeing up the other hand for a drink or throwing the football around (truly impressive!). Stuck on how to get started? We smoked our pork shoulder on our Green Mountain Grill and followed their delicious recipe. Double dip alert! We used our Killer Hogs sauce to marinate these game-winning sliders as well. If pork isn’t your thing, you can switch things up with lamb, tri-tip, or even bison!

  • Tacos — Seriously, who doesn’t love tacos? Prepare your favorite steak or chicken on your gas or charcoal grill, and let your guests build the rest with a mini taco bar including guacamole, salsa, sour cream, and grilled corn. This is a great way to mix things up from the traditional game-day playbook of hot dogs and burgers. Need inspiration? We have a delicious carne asada lettuce wrap taco recipe just for you.

  • BBQ Mac n’ Cheese — You didn’t think we were gonna leave this one off did you? For a meaty, gooey, and unbelievably delicious meal, add your best pulled pork barbecue, tri-tip steak, or char-grilled chicken into your cheesy pasta mix. One of our favorite recipes comes courtesy of Traeger Grills. Top it off with bacon and onions and you’ll score big with hungry party-goers.

  • Smoked Jalapeño Poppers — Bring the heat to your party with this smokin’ hot, irresistible snack. Our favorite recipe will surely be a touchdown with your guests! We suggest the Meadow Creek Gas Smoker, great for both small snacks and big cuts of meat.

Really want to steal the show? Smoke some fresh, juicy bacon and throw strips into a homemade Bloody Mary mix. Win or lose, your guests will be having a great time with this delicious sip while they munch on your amazing game-day eats.
