Has BBQ always been your passion, or did you have a career before?

Phil the Grill Always had a love for cooking since a child. Being a Latch Key kid in the Bronx he became quite creative with putting meals together for him and his family. He ran his own construction company since the age of 27. During the highs and lows of the house market he put together a food truck here in the valley named sammitches! (which was name top ten food truck in the valley 2014. The Jayz of BBQ was born.



How did you come up with the brand name Phil The Grill was given to me by family and friends for always being on the grill. Trapp Haus is the place where Phil the Grill put is work in to create his great BBQ dishes!


What is your most popular product and why do you think that is? My most popular dish is wings Philly Crack Wings! It’s a smoked wing then flash fried to crispy up the skin. Then toss in Phil the Grill Rub me Over. For the signature Flavor!


What is the story behind creating that product? I wanted to come up with a product that you can only get from me. Like McDonalds you only can get MD fries from MickyDs You only can get Philly Crack Wings from Trapp Haus BBQ


Do you have any new products in the works? Can you share any details?

Currently We sell our Rub We have sauces coming out this year


What do you think people love most about your brand? The uniqueness Im bring something different to the table Im more then you average Pitmaster and not giving you the tradinational BBQ


Do you want to say anything to your fans, followers, and supporters? Thank You for your love and support over the years. Im not finished much more to come! HI MOM!


Do you have any words of wisdom for those who are looking to make a name for themselves in the world of Barbecue? Just be yourself no need to follow other peoples’ recipes. Start your Own lane and kill them with your own flavors profile.
