BBQ Islands grilling pellets are all pure natural wood fibers. There are no fillers, binders or oils of any kind in our pellets. Our manufacturer uses round logs harvested through the Master Logger program to ensure only over forest growth materials are used. All the trees are debarked/or with bark depending on the product and ground into a fine fiber at a predetermined size. The finished material is dried/tempered and compressed into a typical 40-44lb density wood pellet. All pellets flavors are in 20 lb bags. The blend pellets are 40% flavor wood where as our competitors pellets are only 30% flavor wood.

Flavors:
  • Apple - Made from a 40% apple and 60% oak blend. Apple is very mild and gives food a slight sweetness. These pellets work well with poultry and pork.
  • Blend - These wood pellets are made from a blend of hickory, cherry and oak. These are good general use pellets. Try them with beef, pork, poultry and fish
  • Cherry - Made from 100% Cherry wood. The sweet, mild flavor goes great with virtually everything. This is one of the most popular woods for smoking. If you aren’t sure what wood to use, get cherry.
  • Hickory - Made from 100% Hickory wood. Hickory produce a strong sweet, hearty taste, which is perfect for pork, beef and poultry. Great for making bacon also.
  • Maple - Made with 100% Maple wood. Maple wood goes well with poultry, cheese, ham and vegetables. It has a slightly smoky, sweet flavor.
  • Oak - Made from 100% oak wood. Some say that oak makes the most versatile pellets since they produce mild smoke with no aftertaste. Goes well with beef, pork, fish and big game.
  • Pecan - Made from a 40% pecan and 60% oak blend. Pecan is somewhat similar to hickory but less pungent. Goes well with most foods including poultry, beef, pork and cheese.
  • Mesquite - Made from a 40% mesquite and 60% oak blend. Mesquite makes for great burgers, brats and other foods that have shorter cooking periods.
  • Jack Daniels Charcoall Pellets are the best way to enhance your pellet cooking. For smoking, mix with your favorite hardwood to help drive a deep dark smoke ring into your meat. Charcoal pellets also help "bark" briskets and pork butts. For grilling, use them to add the irreplaceable charcoal flavor on burgers, chicken, hot dogs and pizza. Just mix them 50/50 with your regular wood pellets for true pit flavor.
