Rub Your Meat BBQ founded by Kelly McCarrel and Caleb Beath started as a pipe dream after taking a BBQ 101 class at BBQ Island Tempe with Cameron Treu of Bam Bam's BBQ. A couple months later while  driving from Phoenix, AZ to Overbrook, KS to pick up some fresh home grown beef from our family members farm. Rub Your Meat BBQ was born and a Facebook page was created to document our journey. 

We attended the American Royal competition in Kansas City and the rest is history, Rub Your Meat BBQ was registered with the Kansas City Barbecue Society in 2012 and we were on to our very 1st KCBS sanctioned event in January of 2013 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. We finished middle of the pack out of 98 teams, but we never knew how addicting this style of life would be.  We've added a few trophies and medals in various KCBS events since then. Fast forward a few years and we found ourselves in Orange Beach, AL competing in steak at the World Food Championships against 50 of the best steak cooks in the world. Prior to that event we had cooked in 2 steak competitions and won both!  Low and behold we left Orange Beach with a 6th place finish! 

We continue to attend KCBS Sanctioned Events throughout the year, but our main passion is to see the reaction from people when they bite into the first taste of our award winning meats! Whether it be a barbecue competition or catering a wedding for 500 people, we always put forth a superior barbecue taste that everyone will enjoy.

We look forward to sharing our passion with you.  We will be cooking meats both competition and backyard style sharing tips and tricks we have learned from some of the best cooks across the country.
