Chigger Creek hardwood lump charcoal is on of the top rated charcoals on the market. It lights easily and has a medium to strong smokey smell when it burns. It is created primarily from raw wood scraps from a lumber mill (not scraps from flooring, molding, etc.). We have not had any reports of debris (rocks, scrap, etc.)  in the bags like some other lesser brands.
