Cherry chunks are great for smoking pork and red meats. It is a bit stronger than apple and mildly smoky yet still sweet. Cherry creates the deepest, darkest smoke rings of any of the woods we offer. Many competition BBQ cooks use these for all 4 meats (chicken, ribs, pulled pork and brisket). If you are not sure what wood to use, get cherry.
