The Artisan 36" natural gas grill is built by the same professionals as well as the same machines as the Alfresco gas grill line.  It has large gauge stainless steel cooking grates, which are easy to clean and provide definitive grill marks. To help eliminate hot spots, ceramic tiles are used to distribute the heat evenly across the entire cooking area.  The heat is provided by three 20,000 BTU U-burners, totaling 60,000 BTUs for the entire grill. The burners are made of stainless steel, and they will last much longer than burners made from cheaper materials. The interior halogen light makes cooking at night easy. The exterior of the grill is just as impressive. The air curtain chimney design helps keep the burner control knobs cool even when the lid is closed. When combined with heat resistant wire, it makes the 9v electronic ignition system very reliable.  The chassis and double skin hood are constructed out of 300 series stainless steel, which makes it durable and easy to clean. The bull nose is embossed with the Artisan logo and the hood comes with a built in thermometer. This model also includes a rotisserie and infrared back burner.

If you like to sear some foods you can get an optional sear burner which easily swaps with a U-burner. The sear burner puts out 27,500 BTUs, and it will get up to 1,500 degrees. This allows you to lock in the juices and flavor far better than a conventional burner. The optional free-standing cart includes a slide out tray which will hold a 20 lb propane tank. Installation of this grill into a combustible enclosure requires the use of an optional insulated jacket to reduce the risk of fire.
